Participation Terms
These terms govern verified participation in Desi Scene, including profiles, posts, comments, interactions, reporting and paid promotion.
1. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be at least 18, provide a phone number and email you control, complete both verification channels, and use a supported AmericaDesi mobile application to participate. You are responsible for activity performed through your device-bound session and for promptly revoking a lost or untrusted device.
One person or legitimate entity may not create deceptive duplicate identities, evade sanctions, reserve names in bad faith or transfer access without permission.
2. Public nature of participation
Scene Names, display names, biographies, profile images, verified badges, posts, comments, media, public engagement counts and market context may be visible publicly and may be shared through permanent links. Phone numbers, email addresses, verification records and device credentials are not public profile fields.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant AmericaDesi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transform for technical delivery, moderate, display, distribute and make your content available through AmericaDesi services. This license lasts while the content remains available and as reasonably necessary for backups, legal compliance, safety evidence, dispute resolution and enforcement records.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it complies with law, these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
4. Moderation and availability
Content may be automatically checked, delayed, quarantined, rejected, removed or restored. AmericaDesi may restrict features, suspend or ban accounts, revoke sessions, preserve evidence and investigate abuse. Public availability, ranking, reach, search visibility and feature access are not guaranteed.
AmericaDesi may change, pause or discontinue Desi Scene, a market, a capability or a provider integration to protect users or system reliability.
5. Community interactions
Likes, follows, saves, blocks, mutes, reports and notifications are product features, not promises of delivery or confidentiality. Blocking changes visibility and interaction behavior but cannot prevent a person from accessing public information outside an authenticated experience.
6. Businesses, verification and promotions
Verification indicates that AmericaDesi matched a profile to a canonical AmericaDesi entity under its review process. It is not an endorsement, professional license, quality guarantee or background check. Verification cannot be purchased.
Sponsored placement requires a verified eligible advertiser, an eligible published post, payment or an audited waiver, and compliance with the Promotion Rules. Payment does not guarantee impressions, engagement, sales or approval of content.
7. Purchases, refunds and disputes
Applicable price, duration, market and campaign terms are shown before checkout. Stripe or another disclosed payment provider processes payment. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks or loss of eligibility may pause or end a campaign. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Account security, recovery and deletion
Sensitive changes may require recent dual-channel reverification and device authentication. Lost-channel recovery may be delayed and manually reviewed. AmericaDesi may reject recovery when ownership cannot be established safely.
You may request a paginated export of supported Desi Scene data and may request account deletion. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, financial records, legal duties, disputes, enforcement or backups, as described in the Privacy Notice.
9. Disclaimers
Desi Scene contains user-generated content. AmericaDesi does not guarantee that community statements, recommendations, listings, event information, prices or opinions are complete, accurate, current or suitable for your circumstances. Verify important information independently.
To the extent permitted by law, Desi Scene is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free delivery or fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, AmericaDesi is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from user content, third-party conduct, unavailable services, lost data or reliance on community information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes and contact
Material changes will use a new policy version and may require renewed acceptance. Questions, copyright notices, privacy requests and disputes may be submitted through published AmericaDesi support channels.
